They Printed THAT?

The April 8 issue of The Economist had a short piece on golf and politics. For example, Bill Clinton has been accused of cheating by taking mulligans--some shots just "didn't count". As for Bush Jr., he "doesn't envision the terrible consequences" that can come from risky shots, such as those involving lakes. And the best line: "[W]orking people play basketball, middle-income people play baseball and wealthy people play golf. [...] The wealthier you get, the smaller your balls become."

In the April 15 issue, it printed this line in reference to the French labor law controversy: "The French government this week did what French governments do best: it caved in"

I think it's nice to have the news delivered with a touch of humor...
