Europe's Woes

I just finished reading a very well-written essay titled "Is 'Old Europe' Doomed?" published by the libertarian Cato Institute. Incidentally, just a few days ago, I was reading an article in the latest issue of The Economist that explored in some detail the economic side of this issue in France. From the Economist article: "This year, for the first time, almost the entire proceeds of French income tax will go to pay interest on public debt." Anyway, go give the essay a read. Amen to that first essay. From what I see firsthand, Old Europe is definitely doomed.
